Dee Dees became interested in helping others record their stories when she encouraged her grandmother to share her memories, and Dee helped her compile them. In talking to others, Dee learned that most people wish they had learned more about their parents and grandparents before it was too late. Her first book, "LifeNotes—Recording Your Memories ... the Legacy of a Lifetime" has been used in life-writing workshops throughout Arizona for over 15 years. She is also the author of "Raise Confident and Responsible Kids: 111 Common-Sense Ideas" and the novel, "The Stories I Could Tell" which is based loosely on her grandmother's life (available August 2016) Dee has spoken and presented workshops on life-writing throughout the southwestern U.S. and in Canada. As well as a speaker and seminar leader, Dee is a personal historian, ghost-writer and editor. She enjoys reading, hiking, travel, and Texas Hold-em poker. Dee and her husband live in Mesa, Arizona.
